Nearest International Airport is Oliver Thambo International in Johannesburg, South Africa Transport from OL Airport to Swaziland.
Transport from Johannesburg can be by Air, Hire Car or Hired Coach Services. Daily flights at competitive prices fly from OL airport into Manzine Airoprt in Swaziland.

The above rates are the total for travel both ways.
The journey is about 400km.

Entry Fee :
Entry fee will be charged at 20 Euro per person with all entry fees being added to the prize fund.

There's a new site named 8ballArt.com which provides a variety of pool related images, including avatars, animations, banners, cartoons, clipart, icons, logos, photographs, prints, posters, fine art, etc.
For full access simply register as a site member.
Hopefully it will provide a useful free web resource for webmasters and others.
There's still loads to be added by the site administrators.... about 10 years of accumulated graphics in fact.

|  At a meeting held in the Ommaroo Hotel at the Jersey Pool Festival in February 2008 it was decided by those present that a re-organisation at the helm of the Professional Pool Players Organisation was inevitable in order to take the organisation forward.
The following are those that now hold office :
President : Tony Batch
Chairman : Pat O’Kane
Vice-Chairman : Ross McInnes
Secretary : Bronwen Ward
Treasurers : Michaela Tabb : Shona Lucas
Paul Bebb (who will remain as Tournament Director) stepped down as President to pave the way for Tony Batch to take up the position. Everyone involved with the PPPO is extremely grateful to Tony for the time and effort that he has expended in supporting the organisation whilst being Chairman and will continue to do as PPPO President, a position to which Tony is eminently suited and which will hopefully reap rewards for those concerned.
The PPPO can now look forward under the “hand-in-hand” partnership of Pat O’Kane and Ross McInnes; as is to be expected from these two members of the PPPO Hall of Fame there will be no stone unturned in their efforts to ensure that the PPPO once again becomes an organisation that players strive to be a member of.
There will now be a period of consolidation and negotiations before full details of new events to be hosted by the PPPO can be made public in the not too distant future. If in the meantime anyone has any queries please contact Bronwen Ward who will do her best to assist you.

|  The East Staffordshire Youth County Pool Trials are to be held on Sunday 2nd March 2008 at 12.30pm
The venue : Rileys Club, Burton upon Trent, Staffs.
This trial is for under 18s and played to Blackball rules.

|  We are delighted to announce full details for the 2008 Central Pool Tour, to be run in association with Riley's.
For just £120 full tour entry we are confident that pool players in the region will see this tour as real value for money.
The new tour will be played to Blackball rules and run predominantly in the West Midlands area, and all players in and around the region keen on such a venture are urged to register there interest.
The organisers are looking to begin the first year with a minimum of 32 competitors playing for a £4,000 prize fund over 4 events, however up to 48 entries will be accepted and should this number be reached the total prize fund will reach upwards of £6,000. With the backing of a company such as Riley's this should become one of the country's leading tours!
Riley's will also run poker tournaments later on in the day for those interested.

Event 1 - Saturday 24th May at Stoke-on-Trent
Event 2 - Saturday 28th June at Coventry
Event 3 - Saturday 11th October at Chesterfield
Event 4 - Saturday 1st November at Worcester
Prize Fund (at each event):
Winner - £360
Runner-Up - £200
Semi-Finalists - £100
Quarter-Finalists - £40
There will be a free cash prize plate event for all competitors who do not reach the prize money stages. Entry open only to main event entrants. The above prize fund will be increased should the number of entries exceed 32.
Competition rules:
1. Competition open to all players. The organisers reserve the right to refuse admission
2. Prize money paid at each individual event
3. Straight knockout format. All matches played to EBA Blackball pool rules, best of 11 frames from start to finish (Main event only). Lag for break
4. Entry is just £120 for the full Series. A £40 deposit secures your place with the remaining balance due no later than 24th May 2008. Should any player not be paid up in full by that date there place may be re-advertised. Entry open only to 48 entrants and players lists will be compiled on various regional and national websites
5. The Series is advance entry only, absolutely no entries taken on the day. Should a Series member be unable to attend any given event they may request a substitute play in their place, however this MUST be done before the draw is made and have the tournament director's permission. The "substitute" will not gain ranking points but will be eligible for prize money. The draw will be made in advance and once the draw is made it cannot be altered
6. Handicaps will be issued against players of professional standard at the tournament directors discretion. These players will give a one frame start to their opponents
7. There will be a plate event for all players who do not reach the prize money stages. This is open only to players who take part in the Main event
8. Each event starts at 11am (doors open 10am). Start times will be issued to players, with the advance draw. A dress code WILL be enforced
9. The tournament organisers decision will be final in all cases
10. These rules are property of the Central Pool Tour and subject to change

The European Blackball Association acts as the governing body for the advancement, promotion and organization of the game of Blackball.
The EBA's aims include those listed below.
To act as the governing body to which all associations, councils and other organizations howsoever formed and wherever situated can affiliate for the purposes of providing greater communication and to facilitate the co-ordination and development of the game of Blackball.
To establish and safeguard the rules for competition and to be known as WPA Blackball Rules.
Compliance to the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
To become the acknowledged representative of the interests of the game of Blackball for all purposes including sponsorship and management of all International events.
